Shorten your MIDI
The AI Instrument can handle tracks of any length, but shorter MIDI files (e.g. just the chorus or first verse) usually generate faster and more focused rewrites. If you're aiming for quicker results or a stronger fit with your song's theme, try shortening the MIDI you upload to the section you want to refine most.
Isolate your Sections
Rather than attempting to rewrite your MIDI complete with chords, melody and drums, try separating your melody into one file to Rewrite it on its own. The AI Instrument is best at understanding rewrite requests for stems that are uninfluenced by other parts.
Get Specific
The key to great stems is a great prompt. Be specific by including the mood, instruments, and intention in your prompt: e.g., "Rewrite these chords for acoustic guitar strums, fitting for a gloomy, chill R&B song."
